Mas Comtal is a hidden gem at the heart of Clàssic Penedès countryside. Marta Milà gave my husband (United States) and I (Maresme) an amazing tour of the land and their ancestral methods of wine making from the crops, to the most delicate flavors you can experience at the table. Mas Comtal remains true to the preservation of outstanding quality, bringing together the love for the vineyards and the magic of the world of author organic wine passing their wisdom from generation to generation for centuries. Having explored many cavas and cellars over the years, we strongly recommend the personalized visit at Mas Comtal Cellar where you are treated as family, a very appreciative and rare trait to find in the current times. Here, you will not only enjoy the breathtaking peaceful landscape of the territory while tasting their delightful variety of wines paired with the right combination of local savory treats, but you will also feel the passion for preserving tradition, culture and, above all, distinguished quality. There are no two wines alike and, their “Gran Angular” Limited Series brings you the most experimental line of the winery where freedom of creation leaded to the development of a new line of micro vinifications that allowed them to elaborate singular wines and the uniqueness of each of the wines obtained. I cannot recommend this place enough. It is run by a family who had the place for generation and they were very welcoming to give us wine and food even if we did not book a tour. I am really grateful for their hospitality and kindness! Me and my friends will come again❤️

Esta bodega es esencial para conocer el Penedès. Un lugar precioso, con encanto, que atesora una manera de hacer y entender el vino imprescindible: respeto por la tierra, por el producto y hacia el consumidor. Sus vinos son nobles. De gran calidad. Marta was wonderful! She took her time and explained the growing and processing processes. Gave us information on what makes them Organic. She even got me to like oak barreled wine! The wines were spectacular and the setting was gorgeous. I cant say enough about this place. I wish it was a Bed and Breakfast so I could stay there! Oh and we loved Duna and Meek (sp?) the puppers on staff.
